From Wednesday 18 November 2026, the stall town is back in Bonn's city centre: more than 160 stalls are set up around Bonn Minster, and what makes it special is the location. From the main station you walk straight in along PoststraĂźe, and after a few hundred metres you are standing on MĂĽnsterplatz. The market runs until 23 December 2026 and opens only at noon, but every day. Afterwards the Epiphany Market on Remigiusplatz extends the mulled wine season into January. Here are the official dates, the note on the Sunday of the Dead, a day plan with Beethoven and the Minster, and tips for getting there and accessibility.
| Dates 2026 | 18 November to 23 December 2026. On the Sunday of the Dead (Totensonntag), 22 November, the market is closed all day. |
|---|---|

| Getting there | From the main station it is only about 300 metres as the crow flies to MĂĽnsterplatz, and PoststraĂźe leads straight there. |
The details come from the organiser's website, run by the City of Bonn, which we checked in October 2026.
| Market | Location | Dates 2026 | Opening hours |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bonn Christmas Market | Münsterplatz, Bottlerplatz, Friedensplatz, Vivatsgasse, Windeckstraße, Poststraße, Remigiusplatz | 18 Nov–23 Dec | daily 12pm–9pm (food and drink until 9:30pm, Fri–Sat until 10:30pm); closed 22 Nov; 23 Dec until 8pm |
| Epiphany Market | Remigiusplatz | 27 Dec 2026–6 Jan 2027 | closed 1 Jan 2027 |
The organiser's page also lists many small markets in the districts, such as the Nikolausmarkt in Bad Godesberg or the Nikolausmarkt in Beuel. Their 2026 dates haven't been updated there yet; the list still shows the 2025 dates (Bad Godesberg 2025: 21 November to 23 December). We'll add them as soon as the new dates are published.
PoststraĂźe leads from the station to MĂĽnsterplatz and, according to the organiser, is the entrance: your walk begins at the archway to the Christmas market. MĂĽnsterplatz has the most stalls and is the main square. Via Vivatsgasse or WindeckstraĂźe you reach Bottlerplatz, and Vivatsgasse continues to Friedensplatz. MĂĽnsterplatz and Friedensplatz are only about 280 metres apart as the crow flies.

MĂĽnsterplatz has the most stalls, plus several restaurant huts and bars. According to the organiser's exhibitor directory you'll find, for example, the "Bonner HĂĽttenzauber", a hut with table service from 5pm where you can reserve from four people, and the Markmann Christmas pyramid with a lounge area for up to 60 people. The official opening is, according to the programme, expected on 18 November at 5pm on the stage in front of the Sterntor, with the district mayor and music.
Bottlerplatz is the cosy section next to MĂĽnsterplatz; "Fisch & Mee(h)r", for instance, sells fish rolls, salmon and potato fritters there. Vivatsgasse links MĂĽnsterplatz, Bottlerplatz and Friedensplatz. According to the organiser, Friedensplatz offers plenty of room to stroll and is a good end to your walk.
PoststraĂźe leads from the station to MĂĽnsterplatz. Remigiusplatz is the site of the Epiphany Market and has stalls during the Christmas market as well. A life-sized Christmas bauble stands there as a photo spot.
When the Christmas market closes on 23 December, the fun continues on Remigiusplatz: the Epiphany Market runs from 27 December 2026 to 6 January 2027 and is closed on 1 January. It is meant as a meeting place for the days between the holidays, with mulled wine and bratwurst.
The exhibitor directory on the organiser's site partly dates from last year. The new stand plan shows which stalls will be there in 2026. Mulled wine prices for 2026 haven't been published; we don't give estimates.
The Bonn Nativity Scene in the Minster shows today's Bonn city life against the skyline and, according to the organiser, changes week by week with new scenes; the city parish offers free tours of about 30 minutes. The 2026 dates aren't set yet; the page currently lists 2025 (Saturdays at 3pm). With a pushchair weekdays before the evening are best; at weekends the city centre gets busy.

The City of Bonn asks visitors to come by public transport, bicycle, e-scooter or on foot where possible, especially at weekends. From the main station PoststraĂźe leads straight to the market. If you drive, parking options are listed at bcp-bonn.de. Note also that the access roads to the market are blocked off: according to the organiser, delivery traffic is possible only until 11am daily, after which the barriers stay closed until the event ends.
According to the organiser, cobblestones and supply lines on the ground cause slight restrictions. The counters of some stalls are rather high, so wheelchair users can reach the display only to a limited extent; the stall operators are happy to help. Accessible toilets are on MĂĽnsterplatz, on Remigiusplatz, in the Bonn-Information and at Sanifair.
The Bonn-Information at WindeckstraĂźe 1 on MĂĽnsterplatz advises during the Christmas market Monday to Friday from 10am to 5pm, Saturdays from 10am to 4pm and on Sundays and public holidays from 10am to 2pm. Tickets for tours of the Christmas market are available there too. The "Weihnachtliches Bonn" tour lasts about two hours and cost adults 11 euros (reduced 6.50 euros) in 2025; the 2026 dates aren't set yet.
