About tripto.de and editorial policy
tripto.de is an editorial travel guide to Germany: sights, day trips and seasonal tips with a map, opening hours and prices, in German, English and Dutch.

Who is behind tripto.de
tripto.de is run by the Tripto editorial team, which also publishes tripto.de (a travel guide to Poland). Full provider details are in the imprint.
Where our information comes from
Descriptions combine three sources: open databases (including OpenStreetMap and Wikidata), official websites of places and organisers, and our own editorial work. Where possible, practical details such as opening hours, prices and dates come with their source.
Verification and freshness
Every place has a verification status. For verified places we show the date of the last check and the source. We only publish dates of Christmas markets and other events once the organiser or the city has announced them officially; if a date is not confirmed, we say so. Opening hours and prices change often, so we link the official page.
Advertising and affiliate links
Some links, for example to accommodation or tickets, are affiliate links: if you book through them we earn a commission, and your price stays the same. Affiliate links do not influence which places we describe or recommend. Paid content is clearly labelled.
Photos and copyright
We use our own photos, photos shared with the consent of the places and images under Creative Commons licences (including Wikimedia Commons), always with the author and licence next to the image.
Report an error
If something is out of date or wrong, use “Suggest a correction” on the place page or write to us. We check every report at the source before changing anything and then update the verification date.
