About this place

The Allgäu Skyline Park in Rammingen, near the spa town of Bad Wörishofen in Bavaria, is one of the largest amusement parks in southern Germany. It sits right beside the A96 autobahn, roughly 50 miles (80 km) west of Munich, and its towers are visible from far away – above all the Allgäuflieger, which the park bills as the world's tallest swing ride. Family rides, roller coasters and a lake make it an easy day trip from Munich or the Allgäu.

History

The park is run by the Löwenthal family of traveling showmen. Founder Joachim Löwenthal opened the Allgäu Skyline Park in 1999 after running smaller parks in the area. It has grown from 4 to about 35 hectares (86 acres) and celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2024.

Things to do at Skyline Park

  • Allgäuflieger (2020): a swing ride that lifts you roughly 460 feet into the air.
  • Sky Wheel (2005): an overhead coaster by Maurer, described as the tallest of its kind in Europe.
  • Sky Dragster (2017): a motorbike coaster where riders control their own speed.
  • The water rapids ride: one of the largest transportable rapids rides in the world.
  • Ferris wheel: moved in 2026 to the former Sky Spin site.

All rides are included in the day ticket, and dogs are allowed for a small fee.

Halloween and the end of the 2026 season

On the Saturdays of October 10, 17, 24 and 31, 2026, the park stays open until 10 p.m. for Halloween. Four horror mazes (recommended for ages 14 and up) cost €6 each on top of admission and are sold only at the mazes; there is also a kids' maze. The season ends on November 8, 2026.

Tickets and opening hours

In October 2026 the park is closed Monday to Wednesday and open 9:30 a.m.–5 p.m. on Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays, with late openings on the Halloween Saturdays. From November 1 to 8 it is open daily 9:30 a.m.–5 p.m.

Tickets are sold at the gate only (as of October 2026). Pricing is by height: €42 for visitors 150 cm (4 ft 11 in) and taller, €35 for 110–149 cm, and free under 110 cm. Seniors 65+ pay €29, and anyone celebrating their birthday gets in free. Parking costs €2.50 for stays over 150 minutes.

How to get to Skyline Park

By car, leave the A96 Munich–Lindau autobahn at the Bad Wörishofen exit and follow the frontage road for about a mile. By train, ride to Rammingen (Bayern) station – not Bad Wörishofen – and walk about 800 meters (half a mile) on a stroller-friendly path; regional trains are covered by the Deutschlandticket. Memmingen Airport is about 24 miles (38 km) away, and Munich Airport is the main international gateway.

Is it worth visiting?

For families and for anyone who wants a view from one of the world's tallest swing rides, yes. Nearby, Bad Wörishofen – the birthplace of Kneipp hydrotherapy – offers spa gardens and thermal baths, and King Ludwig II's castles near Füssen are a little over an hour's drive south.
